LIES VERSUS TRUTH
Part One Notes Only
Genesis 1:1 KJV :
In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth
|
Where do I begin :
In the beginning God created IT ALL and Satan would have you to believe otherwise.
Evolution, the theory of the big bang, where everything began from nothing, even that is questionable since there was by the theory of the big band, three atoms that some how colladed into each other.
One only needs to visit the Creation Science and Genesis Internet Sites to fine the numerous counteraction to the the theory of the big bang , all by qualified professionals in their studied fields.
|
In Genesis 3:1-13 KJV:
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Here Satan ( the serpent) says God knows you will not die in verses 5 and 6 - and causes them to doubt what God said. Doubt, my friend is one of the devil's biggest deceptions, there was
a true story I heard of someone shut in a big cooler ( like a fridge) and they suffocated. The bizarre thing about this person's death was the door could have been opened from the inside. This person's mindset was there was no way out, yet the escape to their dilema was only a hand reach away.
|
In Pilgrims Progress in Part Two, John Bunyan writes about nature, spiders , flowers, red breasted robins, Christina had her mindsets and the intrepreter unravels them, listen to what was written :
When the Interpreter had shown them this, he had them into the very best
room in the house; a very brave room it was. So he bid them look round
about, and see if they could find any thing profitable there. Then they
looked round and round; for there was nothing to be seen but a very
great spider on the wall, and that they overlooked.
|
MER. Then said Mercy, Sir, I see nothing; but Christiana held her peace.
|
INTER. But, said the Interpreter, look again. She therefore looked
again, and said, Here is not any thing but an ugly spider, who hangs by
her hands upon the wall. Then said he, Is there but one spider in all
this spacious room? Then the water stood in Christiana's eyes, for she
was a woman quick of apprehension; and she said, Yea, Lord, there are
more here than one; yea, and spiders whose venom is far more destructive
than that which is in her. The Interpreter then looked pleasantly on
her, and said, Thou hast said the truth. This made Mercy to blush, and
the boys to cover their faces; for they all began now to understand the
riddle.
|
Then said the Interpreter again, "The spider taketh hold with her
hands," as you see, "and is in kings' palaces." Prov. 30:28. And
wherefore is this recorded, but to show you, that, how full of the venom
of sin soever you be, yet you may, by the hand of Faith, lay hold of and
dwell in the best room that belongs to the King's house above?
|
CHR. I thought, said Christiana, of something of this; but I could not
imagine it at all. I thought that we were like spiders, and that we
looked like ugly creatures, in what fine room soever we were: but that
by this spider, that venomous and ill-favored creature, we were to learn
how to act faith, that came not into my thoughts; and yet she had taken
hold with her hands, and, as I see, dwelleth in the best room in the
house. God has made nothing in vain.
|
Then they seemed all to be glad; but the water stood in their eyes; yet
they looked one upon another, and also bowed before the Interpreter.
|
He had them into another room, where were a hen and chickens, and bid
them observe a while. So one of the chickens went to the trough to
drink, and every time she drank she lifted up her head and her eyes
towards heaven. See, said he, what this little chick doth, and learn of
her to acknowledge whence your mercies come, by receiving them with
looking up. Yet again, said he, observe and look: so they gave heed,
and perceived that the hen did walk in a fourfold method towards her
chickens: 1. She had a common call, and that she hath all the day long.
2. She had a special call, and that she had but sometimes. 3. She had
a brooding note. Matt. 23:37. And, 4. She had an outcry.
|
Now, said he, compare this hen to your King and these chickens to his
obedient ones; for, answerable to her, he himself hath his methods which
he walketh in towards his people. By his common call, he gives nothing;
by his special call, he always has something to give; he has also a
brooding voice, for them that are under his wing; and he has an outcry,
to give the alarm when he seeth the enemy come. I choose, my darlings,
to lead you into the room where such things are, because you are women,
and they are easy for you.
|
CHR. And, sir, said Christiana, pray let us see some more. So he had
them into the slaughter-house, where was a butcher killing a sheep; and
behold, the sheep was quiet, and took her death patiently. Then said
the Interpreter, You must learn of this sheep to suffer and to put up
with wrongs without murmurings and complaints. Behold how quietly she
takes her death, and, without objecting, she suffereth her skin to be
pulled over her ears. Your King doth call you his sheep.
|
After this he led them into his garden, where was great variety of
flowers; and he, said, Do you see all these? So Christiana said, Yes.
Then said he again, Behold, the flowers are diverse in stature, in
quality, and color, and smell, and virtue; and some are better than
others; also, where the gardener has set them, there they stand, and
quarrel not one with another.
|
Again, he had them into his field, which he had sown with wheat and
corn: but when they beheld, the tops of all were cut off, and only the
straw remained. He said again, This ground was dunged, and ploughed,
and sowed, but what shall we do with the crop? Then said Christiana,
Burn some, and make muck of the rest. Then said the Interpreter again,
Fruit, you see, is that thing you look for; and for want of that you
condemn it to the fire, and to be trodden under foot of men: beware that
in this you condemn not yourselves.
|
Then, as they were coming in from abroad, they espied a little robin
with a great spider in his mouth. So the Interpreter said, Look here.
So they looked, and Mercy wondered, but Christiana said, What a
disparagement is it to such a pretty little bird as the . robin-red-
breast; he being also a bird above many, that loveth to maintain a kind
of sociableness with men! I had thought they had lived upon crumbs of
bread, or upon other such harmless matter: I like him worse than I did.
|
The Interpreter then replied, This robin is an emblem, very apt to set
forth some professors by; for to sight they are, as this robin, pretty
of note, color, and carriage. They seem also to have a very great love
for professors that are sincere; and, above all others, to desire to
associate with them, and to be in their company, as if they could live
upon the good man's crumbs. They pretend also, that therefore it is
that they frequent the house of the godly, and the appointments of the
Lord: but when they are by themselves, as the robin, they can catch and
gobble up spiders; they can change their diet, drink iniquity, and
swallow down sin like water.
|
So, when they were come again into the house, because supper as yet was
not ready, Christiana again desired that the Interpreter would either
show or tell some other things that are profitable.
|
Then the Interpreter began, and said, The fatter the sow is, the more
she desires the mire; the fatter the ox is, the more gamesomely he goes
to the slaughter; and the more healthy the lustful man is, the more
prone he is unto evil. There is a desire in women to go neat and find;
and it is a comely thing to be adorned with that which in God's sight is
of great price. 'T is easier watching a night or two, than to sit up a
whole year together: so 't is easier for one to begin to profess well,
than to hold out as he should to the end. Every shipmaster, when in a
storm, will willingly cast that overboard which is of the smallest value
in the vessel; but who will throw the best out first? None but he that
feareth not God. One leak will sink a ship, and one sin will destroy a
sinner.
|
|
Next week we will look more closely on this story, John Bunyan was a baptist who wrote , Pilgrims Progress, from what he saw in the scriptures.
|
In Luke 3:7-18 KJV :
|
John The Baptist said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?
And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;
John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.
And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.
|
|
Note how people saw tax collectors, public sevants , does John condemn there work, no just ask them to do it properly and be content with what they had, rather than cheating or abusing people. You are allow effort for working, not what you are not entitled to.

In Genesis God created a big planet with a garden with animals and everything appealing to ones eye, and then put us, humans, in it .
Our job in this garden was simple : Genesis 2:15 to tend and keep it , yes , Adam and Eve , were to care for the garden.
In Genesis 1:1-2 mainly well-intended bible teachers, ministers, believe there was a gap and this is where all the dinosaurs could have exist.
However, the bible says clearly : sin entered the world by one man.
Dinosaurs and the like, were savage creatures, who commited savage murders, ate their own flesh, lived for survival. For dinosaurs to pre-exist man, would mean sin entered the world first.
In Genesis 3, Satan, disguised as the serpent tried to rush God's plan, and because our ancestors, Adam and Eve, doubted and did what God said not to do, we losted out on the great blessing God bestowed.
God's intention was to bless man, Satan's was to rob man, he was jealous because the position man had with, to rule and have dominion over the earth.
An early writing I came across, claimed, Satan was jealous because when the angels saw man who was made in God's own image, the angels would bow in admiration, Satan was furious cause he was before man was and thought he should be more important. His intent was to rob man of his inheritance and get back at God.Satan hated man, God threw him out of heaven for thinking he was better rather than part of the team, where he could play his part , he had all of the blessings God could give, yet he wanted more.
Isaiah 14:12-16 KJV
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (Satan/the Devil), son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
So, what wrong with looking out for yourself, to many known as number one.
You are born to be part of a team, you will find this far more benefical than trying it alone.
One of the major problems that keep people in poverty is their inability to be part of a team.
A man from Malaysia , I know, had some brothers, they all went their separate ways, and all of them were trying to "build their own kingdom" , this man regretted the choice they all made, their father had a factory in Singapore, he believes, if they all work with their father, they would have succeeded. The father's factory went bust eventually and he died.
When you look back over your life, what will you say, regret?
Another, true story, I heard about a man who plough a site he owned and was licensed to mine for gold, he had been going for a while and gave up, three days after the new owners took possession they struck a big gold fine.
Doubt, my friend will rob you.
Listen to what God says :
Jeremiah 29:11 for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not hurt you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Doubt will rob you of everything good God said was for those who trust in Him.
Living for oneself will only wear you down, most lone ranger, go in a big cycle, never going far. If you are a leader , get a good team under you, utelise them and watch things happen, get a mentor, a good banker, an accountant, advise and you'll succeed.
Everyone is a leader of some kind, prehaps you are a mother/father or want to be one, then specialise your career choice, to be a mother/father is one of the world best most rewarding professions and behind every good man/woman was a good team, good teams train good siblings, to get behind their good man , so they can have a good all round balance family.
Prehaps, your spouse ran off, shrekked their responsibilties, then you can get the best team in the world, and God in the bible has the recipe for it to be a success, read his advice on everything and learn how others applied the advice in every day situations and how to source a good team to support you.
In Romans 2:4 KJV it says, the goodness of God leads to repentence.
And, He also says : He is not willing that any should perish ( die ).
|
In Philippians 4:8 KJV contrary to worldly opinion god tells us not to dwell on the bad :
|
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
|
In Romans 5 we read why we have trials in our lives :
and not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
|
Tribulation works patience that gives us experience ( maturity) that gives hope ( an important drive for living , for pressing on with life) and hope makes us not ashamed ( regretful), because it shoe us how God' s loves us and wants us to know it , and He causes that to be known to us by the person of the Holy Ghost/Spirit
By doubting God this gives way to opening yourself to numerous self-seeking fulfillment that eventually leads one to despair, you become a slave to the cause, rather than being blessed by the cause.
Romans 6:23 KJV says :
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
|
This is why so many people around the world, are saying , "Yes to God". And you can too , so you can benefit by being part of the best team ever and seeing everyone benefit forever.

PART TWO
Notes
In Pilgrims Progress in Part Two, John Bunyan writes about nature,
Spiders
Prov. 30:28. "The spider taketh hold with her hands and is in
kings' palaces."
Where have you been, people who have small lives, supposely small, often enter the company of the great, aware and unaware.
Spiders, they look like ugly creatures, abode in what fine room they live. And, their venom is far more destructive, just like sin is to us.
We cannot even look at God, because of how unworthy sin makes us.
Some people cannot enter modern church buildings because they consider they are underdress.
Recently, I heard a visiting speaker, say, agree with your adversery,
the devil might say, you are guilty,so what, yes, I am guilty, but through what Jesus did for me, I am forgiven, made right with God and
cleansed by the blood.
You messed up big time, so what ,Psalm 37:23 "the Steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, Though he falls he will not be casted down for the Lord uphold with His hand".
I'm upset with being angry, Cast all your cares on Him - ON God.
You get angry, so, its positive to express it in a constructive manner, just deal with the issue around, and Don't let the sun go down on it.Get angry, express and you will learn to get better at expressing, learn how to be angry without being destructive, holding resentment, express, forgive, move on.
Where its uncontrolable, bind the evil spirits that are causing it, and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you to express your anger in a more positive manner.John 14:15-18,25.
We live in a world thats comfortable with positive "nice feeling emotion" but not with the un-nice emotion. Don't bottle it up, express it , forgive, move on,and learn to show them in a more positive way.Galatian 6:1-2;I John 5:16-17;
You know, God doesn't love everyone, Proverbs 6:16-19; tell us 7 things God hates, he also hates the devil and his wicked foes all whose works shall be brought to nought and be punish forever in the lake of fire, Revelations 20:10,14-15;21:8;Galatians 5:19-21,26;
but the overcomer inherit all things Revelations 21:7 and they will live in blest forever Revelations 21.1-7;Galatians 5:22-25.
In John 3:16 God so loved the world, but in Proverbs we read he hates these people, we personalise John 3:16 and forget to consider , Proverbs 6:16-19 , you have the choice ,repent and ask God's forgiveness or remain an enemy of God, be hated by God and be punished forever.Sorry, if this is heavy - God wrote it I didn't.
I don't feel very confident, "I have this confidence that he who began a good work in you will complete it", Philippians 1:6; I John 3:20-21;4:17-19;5:14-15;
Looking at the water or to Jesus
We can look at water and sink or look to God, from whence comes our help.Psalms 121
For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.Philippians 4:13
I am persuaded that ...Romans 8:38-39;
Don't look at the water, opinions of the world, your greek philoshopical mindsets, what Satan throws at you, look at God in
FAITH, Hebrews 11:1-3;
You have a shyness problem, overcome it, I use to snutter badly, a friend of mine told me, don't worry about, just keep talking you'll get better and more confidence.
You have all the illnesses one could get in the world, so, make all your frustrations be turned to making what you have better, and with God, you have more of chance than those doing it without God.
John the Baptist said, Be content with your wages... Luke 3:14, and, Jesus says, Just believe because, All things are possible to him that believes, whether its an instant miracle or a healing God does over time. With God all things are possible. Amen!
I am small and insufficent, think about the spider, the ant, the mustard seed, a seed of a large tree.
II Corinthians 6 :12
The Message says : The smallness you are feeling is coming from within you. Your lives are not small. You've just been living them in a small way.
In the NKJV " You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections "
BREAKTHROUGH
Have a major breakthrough, you might play a small part, it can have a big effect, you might never know.
There was a school teacher, who had a class a century or so ago, and he prayed they would all become something in God, and they all move on, later, he said, God didn't answer his prayer, however unknown to him, they all got saved, and not only that, they influence preachers down the line, who influenced others down the line, like Dwight Moody, Lester Sumaril, Billy Graham.
Have your breakthrough, although God in time to allow you to flourish in His timing.
